Rav Etan Taragin is the Executive Director of Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles and Moshava Alevy, having relocated to Los Angeles in August 2025. With a Master’s degree from the Ruderman Program at the University of Haifa and a background in education and history, he has dedicated his career to managing Zionist and educational programs for Diaspora Jewry. A former combat soldier and licensed tour guide, Etan brings extensive leadership experience from his roles as an educational manager in pre-military programs and youth movements. He is committed to fostering a deep connection to Torah and Israel within the community through impactful programming and strategic leadership.

Sharon Elkus is Bnei Akiva’s Programming Director and a longtime leader within the Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles community, having previously served on its board. She is passionate about bringing fun, engaging, and meaningful programming to Los Angeles families and the broader community. Through her work, she hopes that kids and teens grow in their love of Torah, Am Yisrael, and Medinat Yisrael.
Lisa Kur is an administrative support for Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles, bringing experience in supporting customers and senior leadership across international organizations. She is deeply passionate about Bnei Akiva’s core values—Torah V’Avodah, a strong commitment to Zionism, and fostering a meaningful Jewish community.

Jeremy serves as the organization’s bookkeeper, providing essential administrative and accounting support for Camp and Bnei Akiva programming. He manages financial records, assists with operational workflows, and helps ensure smooth coordination across programs. Based in the Philippines, Jeremy supports the team remotely with reliability, precision, and a strong commitment to the organization’s mission.

Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles is excited to have David Eke leading our Communications and Outreach efforts. Working remotely, David leverages over 15 years of experience in software solutions to manage our newsletters, family engagement, and national growth initiatives with professional precision. As the season shifts into "camp mode," David’s tech-savvy approach to logistics and administration ensures our team has the support needed to thrive. Through his work, David is dedicated to helping our campers grow in their love of Torah and Am Yisrael.
Aron acts our our fractional CFO, overseeingbudgeting, accounting, insurances and payroll.
